Sights of the Old Job

One thing I miss here in the mountains is the bay.  Not much I can do about it, but when I look at these old pictures from when I worked in Richmond it makes me sad.

Whoever decided that we get to call stuff like this breakfast was a
genius.

Dangerous Curve

This tree was at the end of the winding road I showed you yesterday.  Here is a close up of the painting.  Unfortunately I’m guessing that this marks the site of an accident, but maybe it’s just a message of hope for a safe passage.

Winding Road

This is the kind of road that I love to drive on.

Crane Trailering Rig

This bad boy has more wheels than any vehicle I’ve ever seen.  Check it out, that’s 18 axels with 8 wheels per axel for 144 total wheels, just on the trailer.

Water Tower Trails

I was in Farmville around lunchtime today so I stopped at Taco Bell to get my Cheesy Gordita Crunch on.  You guys know I love these things, so when I pulled up to the drive through I already knew what I wanted.  Two Cheesy Gordita Crunches with beans instead of beef and a large Mountain Dew.  Now you Taco Bell eaters out there know that every single combo meal on that menu comes with some stupid throw away beef taco that no one wants, but we all try to eat reluctantly out of a desire to get our $7.49 worth out of the deal.  So now imagine my amazement when I look at the menu and find a new combo with the exact menu items I was already planning to order for only $4.49.  If this is what it means to be in a recession, sign me up.  In other news, the bike trails that Davy, Nick, and I helped build in Farmville have been bulldozed and turned into commercial, retail, and industrial lots.

Even the kiddies know her new name, but I’m still not used to it.
