Unfortunately my night was spent pulling this thing apart and luckily putting it back together.  It’s a hard drive enclosure that also adds a bunch of USB and Firewire ports while fitting in the footprint of my Mac Mini.  Lately it’s been making some annoying noises when the fan comes on and tonight I decided I couldn’t take it any more.  The fan is on the bottom left corner of the picture and once I had it out I realized there was a guard on the bottom that the fan blades were catching on.  I grabbed a couple washers and fit them between the guard and the fan, snapped it back in place, fired it up and voila, the noise was gone.  It’s boring I know, but it’s part of my life.  Speaking of which…
