Big Ol’ Bug On My Neck

When Kelly and Davy got back from Robbie’s wedding they brought an extra visitor with them.  Apparently Kelly found this thing at a gas station down the street.  We played with it for a little while and took some pictures before putting it outside in the mulch.

  1. O-K! You win the award, I would definitely not keep my cool with an insect that size on me. Probably not anywhere on me, but certainly not on my neck!

  2. Terri wants to know what kind of beetle is it? (Dont tell Karen about my poor grammar)

    • I dunno, I’ll have to ask Kelly

  3. It’s a female Hercules beetle. The males get huge horns/tusks.

  4. Ewww Scott! This reminds me of that nasty beetle you found at the gas station when we were little and any time I pissed you off, you’d chase me around the house with your dead beetle in the little plastic box. :)

    • That is the female of those types of bugs, the male is the one with the big horns. much better for scaring little sisters.

  5. It wasnt just a box…it was some sort of space toy and Scott cut off his leg when he put it in there. Then we saved it forever in the computer room like it was a museum. yuck!
